Jay-Z will perform the Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show on Feb. 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The NFL, Apple Music, and the rapper announced the booking on Monday.
The announcement comes as Roc Nation, Jay-Z's production company, continues its role producing the halftime show. The company secured a five-year extension in 2019 that keeps it in the production seat through 2029. Since taking over, the shows have featured more hip-hop and rap artists. Last year's performance at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, headlined by Bad Bunny, included guests Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin.
Los Angeles hosted the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2022. That performance featured Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar, with appearances by 50 Cent and Anderson .Paak. Other recent halftime performers include Kendrick Lamar and SZA in 2025, Usher in 2024, and Rihanna in 2023.
Jay-Z has not previously performed at a Super Bowl halftime show. The 25-time Grammy winner is currently touring to mark the 30th anniversary of his debut album "Reasonable Doubt" and the 25th anniversary of "The Blueprint." The Jay-Z 30 Tour began with three nights at Yankee Stadium in July. It continued with shows in London and Paris in September.
The tour concluded on Oct. 23 and 24 with two performances at SoFi Stadium. These dates occurred just one day before the announcement of his Super Bowl booking. The stadium will now serve as the site for his upcoming halftime performance next year.
