Jimmy Fallon transformed into Nathan Fielder during the Wednesday night broadcast of The Tonight Show. The sketch featured Jamie Lee Curtis as Elizabeth Holmes, parodying the A24 documentary You Can See Everything. The bit served as the cold open for the episode. It highlighted Curtis’s promotion of her new NBC sitcom, Newlyweds.

Fallon adopted Fielder’s distinct mannerisms to question Curtis. He asked if she genuinely wanted to be on the program. Curtis wore a blonde wig and maintained intense eye contact. She replied in a voice mimicking Holmes, saying, "Of course I do. I love talking to you."

The host pressed Curtis on her motives for the visit. He asked if she was solely there to promote Newlyweds. Curtis insisted she was interacting with him as a human being. She stated, "Why would I deceive you? There's no reason for me to do that. There's nothing for me to deceive you on."

Fallon concluded the interaction by asking if she was being real. Curtis responded, "I'm always being real." After Fallon walked away, Curtis dropped the character. She shouted a profane remark toward the host.

Newlyweds premiered on October 23. The series stars Téa Leoni and Tim Daly. It follows a free-spirited woman and a buttoned-up professor who marry after a whirlwind courtship. Curtis appears in a recurring guest star role. She co-created the show with Gail Lerner.

Lerner was fired from the series earlier this month. The production cited creative differences for the decision. Lerner described the work as "the most joyous TV experience of my life" in a statement issued when the news broke.

The film being parodied opened in theaters on October 16. It has grossed $45.1 million domestically. The documentary was directed by Fielder and Lance Oppenheim. It took over three years to complete. The film depicts Holmes one month before she began an 11-year prison sentence.
