Tampa Convention Center has been named a 2027 Center of Excellence by EXHIBITOR Magazine.
The designation places the waterfront venue in the top 25 convention centers worldwide for hosting trade shows and events. This marks the second time the facility has secured a spot on the list.
The center is also one of three global finalists for the Special Award for Best Convention Center in the 100,000 to 500,000 square foot exhibit space category. The evaluation process considers service, venue capabilities, amenities, health and safety protocols, and feedback from event planners and exhibitors.
In 2026, the venue hosted 94 events and welcomed more than 340,000 attendees. The facility is estimated to have generated $149 million in local economic impact for the region this year.
David Ingram, Executive Director of the Tampa Convention Center, said the honor puts the facility and the City of Tampa on the global stage as an outstanding meetings and events destination. He noted that the achievement reflects the daily effort of staff and service partners in bringing events to life.
The center offers 600,000 square feet of flexible event spaces and holds a LEED Silver Certification for Building Operations and Maintenance. It has also received a fourth consecutive gold medal for Best Convention Center in the Southeast U.S. from the Northstar Stella Awards.
The venue is located in downtown Tampa, Florida, and features waterfront views and modern technology infrastructure for meeting professionals.
